The 15th Annual Harvest Moon Festival will feature a variety of events to be enjoyed by all.  The Festival well be held on October 25th in downtown Franklin.

Activities leading up to the festival include the Queen’s Pageant to be held October 18th at 3:00 pm at the Teche Theatre.  Applications are only available at Main St. Café,  Fad News Stand, or by contacting Susan Thibodeaux at 337-578-7854.

On Thursday, October 23rd, the Chamber of Commerce will host its “Chamber After Hours”at 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Teche Theatre.

Saturday, October 25th, The Annual Adeline Guienze Breast Cancer Memorial Fund 5K Run/Walk sponsored by Teche Community Action will be held starting at 7:30 a.m.  For more information please contact Teche Action Clinic at 337-828-2550.

The Harvest Moon Festival kicks off with Opening Ceremonies at 9:00 a.m. on Main Street with the Queen’s Opening Ceremony.  There are a variety events scheduled throughout the day that can be found on the Homepage.

New this year we will feature the Mutt Strut and Decorated Golf Cart Parade.  All breeds of dogs other than Pitbulls will be allowed to participate.  Dogs must be non-aggressive and  remain on a leash at all times.  Golf Carts must be decorated to a theme of your choosing.

A Mutt Strut Costume Contest will also be featured with prizes to be awarded for unique costumes.

Also featured will a Car Show featuring a variety of the “old” and “new”.

For your entertainment, there will be four local bands playing all your favorites from yesterday and today throughout the day.

Along with the scheduled events will be an array of vendors and all downtown merchants will be opened to give you an early start on your holiday shopping.
